usethings design and make useful things including furniture, fittings, and home-ware. Based in Castlemaine since 2004, we are about simple yet well-made things that embody good design, craftsmanship, local production, renewable or recycled materials, and durability.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL DESIGN

Our vision is to support a better way of living in the design of furniture & homewares – useful things. A literal translation of the Scandinavian word brugsting, usethings embodies a tradition of simple, functional design. We devise beautiful solutions to everyday needs.

DESIGN SUSTAINABILITY

With low impact materials, production methods, finishes, and waste minimisation, usethings design solutions encourage a harmonious relationship between family, working life, environment, and community.
