The picnic knife was originally intended as a safety knife with the round tip but this tip lends itself to spreading foods and pastes, but you still have you have the sharp edge for cutting and pealing. Small and light, easy to take anywhere. It has a stainless steel blade and the beautifully designed Opinel blade lock. These are finely honed blades and have excellent edge holding ability. The wooden handle made from French plantation timber.
Opinel knives where first created in 1890 and three generations later are still a family owned company and made in the same area in France. We like continuity of production.
